Methodology
How a stamp gets earned
Compatibility is stored between interfaces, not between products. A wheel does not fit a base: a quick release standard fits a quick release standard, and a bolt pattern fits a plate. One verified rule then covers every product that uses that interface.
A rule cannot be marked verified without a source URL recorded against it. The database enforces that, so a verified stamp always has something behind it.
- FIT Checked against a manufacturer source that is on file.
- UNVERIFIED We hold data but have not checked the source ourselves.
- NO FIT Different standards, or the platform is not supported.
Prices are stored with the date they were recorded and rendered with that date attached. A price with an old date is stale information shown honestly, which is more useful than a fresh looking number nobody re-checked.
